International Controller

The organisation
Forbo Flooring Systems is the largest Business Unit of the Swiss Forbo Group, controls fourteen manufacturing plants and sales organisations in 23 countries, and employs about 3,000 people. There is currently a vacancy within Forbo Flooring Systems on divisional level for the position of International Controller. Ideal for an ambitious financial professional who is ready for a new challenge and has an affinity with production.

Position
The International Controller reports to the Division Controller and has responsibility for:
• Monthly financial consolidation and management reporting process of the Flooring Division
• Monthly performance analysis of all entities and recommends corrective measures
• Advising and supporting the local controllers of the Flooring business
• Support in budgeting and forecasting process
• Capex control / CER’s process
• General support for financial analysis on projects
• Internal Control System (ICS), project leader
• Risk Management Process, project leader
• Internal Audit Process
• Management of transfer prices for intercompany sales
• Special projects

Job requirements
This is an important position within Forbo Flooring Systems and is calling for an experienced candidate able to operate within a high degree of autonomy.
As candidate for this position, you will have the following qualifications:
• a completed business economics training at academic level
• three to five years experience in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing organisation; affinity with industrial accounting
• excellent command of the English language; French and German desirable

The candidate will have full accounting qualifications and be thoroughly familiar with all standard finance routines. In particular he should be able to demonstrate experience of the following:
• consolidation of group accounts
• performance reviews and business analysis
• budgeting processes ideally including rolling forecasts
• thorough knowledge of IFRS
• familiarity with Cognos Controller or similar reporting system
• business controlling of production entities with respect to standard variable costing
• business controlling of sales entities with respect to product line and customer profitability
• knowledge of BI tools (Cognos or SAP BI)
• knowledge of SAP
• working capital management, including credit management
